Carols in hard times; John Avison john.avison@examiner.co.uk To read more columns go to www.examiner.co.uk/john

THAT ineffable feeling that Christmas is here comes to different people at different times.

For many years it fell to Huddersfield Methodist Choir or the Choral to float my seasonal boat. And at Christmas time, no creature on earth is more generous than a Yorkshireman. The band had been thinking of song titles suitable for our straitened times. I Saw Two Ships Come Sailing In - neither of which you can fly planes from - was my favourite. And what's wrong with a tight Christmas?' the band's founder, Andy Watts, asked in a Yorkshire accent. The perception that we Tykes are careful with our money is widespread. We are physically and sartorially different from the rest of Britain in that we have short arms and deep pockets, so the legend runs. But several people I know who were born and bred in the south have remarked not on Yorkshire folk's stinginess but on their generosity - if not directly in cash, in time and kindliness.I have already forgiven Andy Watts.Andy was brought up in Knaresborough so if anyone has a free pass to poke gentle fun at Tyke stereotypes it's him.* TIGHT KNIT: The Carnival BandI'm Dreaming of a Tight Christmas was another. This year it was Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band, appearing with a bunch of ancient carols and capers with Christmas but days away at St George's Hall, Bradford. They apologised throughout for stringencies brought about by the recession - a song scroll instead of a laser light show and tiny Christmas tree ('A gift from the government of Norway').

Looking Through a Peephole or an Open Door?: Insights into Inclusion

The time had come. After four years of preservice education, I was finally on my own, teaching in my classroom, with my students, and my carefully constructed lessons. I anxiously waited for my first students to walk through the door so I could grab their attention and immerse them in my love of agriculture. However, students weren't the first through the door that initial morning on the job, the special education coordinator was. She walked in, handed me a stack of file folders labeled with students' names, asked me to sign a sheet of paper, and waltzed back out, all within one minute. Curious, I opened the top folder and scrolled down until I saw the intimidating word "Accommodations." Suddenly, I realized my carefully, yet narrowly constructed lessons weren't going to work for my students, at least not the way I had originally planned. My excitement dwindled and panic took over.... was I really ready to teach ALL of my students? How was 1 going to accommodate the varied special needs of my students? How, in my preservice education, did my view of what my students needed to be successful become so narrow? Was I alone in this feeling, or were my peers feeling the same way?

In summary, secondary agricultural educators will be working with learners with special needs. It is essential that they know and understand how to contribute to an IEP, as well as how to follow what the requirements state of them as directed through an IEP. However, many preservice agricultural education programs are lacking this skill development.Teaching Techniques and StrategiesThe inclusion of learners with special needs is not only mandated by law, but is a civic and moral duty for secondary agriculture teachers. The driving force behind federal mandates that schools must follow is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), which was originally established in 1975 and known as Public Law 94-142. It was this landmark legislation that established mainstreaming and prescribed that which schools must do to serve the handicapped (Iverson, 1993).SummaryPreservice Teacher EducationThe need currently exists to prepare teachers to use effective methods of teaching for learners in an inclusive setting. A 2007 census study of secondary agriculture teachers in Ohio was used to report that teachers needed more competency when teaching learners with special needs (Hoerst & Whittington, 2009); the preservice agriculture teachers from the land grant university in Ohio were required to complete only one course on teaching learners with exceptional needs. Thus, teacher preparation programs need to be aware of the limitations and consequent concerns of those teachers who are currently serving learners with special needs.Newcomb, L. H., McCracken, J. D., Warmbrod, J. R., & Whittington, M. S. (2004). Methods of Teaching Agriculture (3rd ed.). Upper Saddle River, NJ: Pearson Prentice Hall.Kisanji, J. (1999, March). Historical and Theoretical Basis of Inclusive Education. Keynote address at the meeting of Inclusive Education in Namibia: The Challenge for Teacher Education, Namibia.Hoerst, C. M., & Whittington, M. S. (2009). The current status of classroom inclusion activities of secondary agriculture teachers. Journal of Agricultural Education, 50(2), 38-51.Teacher education programs, designed to address the instruction of learners with special needs, have existed since at least the late 1800s. However, as the number of learners with special needs increases in agriculture programs, agriculture teachers' needs for additional training also increases (Elbert & Baggett, 2003).ReferencesIverson, M. J. (1993). Will we serve the academically disadvantaged? The Agricultural Education Magazine, 66(6), 4.In the previously mentioned study of Ohio secondary agriculture teachers, it was indicated that discussion and lecture were among the most-used teaching methods when teaching learners with special needs (Hoerst & Whittington, 2009); however, those were also the most-used techniques reported in a study of learners in a traditional classroom (Falk, Beck, & Whittington, 2009). Preservice teachers need to be taught to step outside of their comfort zones, and experiment with teaching strategies that they may not traditionally use, such as role play or peer teaching in order to reach learners with special needs. Teaching by demonstration and learning-by-doing should also characterize the instruction used in inclusive classrooms (Newcomb, et al., 2004). In addition, the problemsolving approach to teaching has been used throughout agricultural education, and is an effective approach for implementing instruction for learners, regardless of ability (Newcomb, et al., 2004).Falk, J. M., Beck, W. M., & Whittington, M. S. (2009). Describing student cognitive retention in an animal science unit. NACTA 2009 Abstracts and Awards, p. 43-44.Brief Evolution of InclusionSpecial education teachers often work in their own classroom or office and can be underutilized by agriculture teachers. The continued separatist approach in teacher preparation considers special education as a separate entity "and one that did not and need not involve intensive collaboration or even cooperation with regular classroom teachers..." (Osgood, 2005, p. 120). However, special education teachers are responsible to collaborate with all teachers to develop effective Individualized Educational Plans (IEP) for learners. Agricultural education teachers, given their current preservice education curriculum, typically have limited experience with IEPs. According to Elbert and Baggett (2003), secondary agricultural education teachers need additional training to help develop IEPs. In addition, 60% of secondary agriculture teachers in Ohio reported needing more training in writing educational goals and objectives for IEPs (Hoerst & Whittington, 2009).Elbert, C. D. & Baggett, C. D. (2003). Teacher competence for working with disabled students as perceived by secondary level agricultural instructors in Pennsylvania. Journal of Agricultural Education, 44(\), 105-115."If our teaching is to be studentcentered, we must accept the idea of teaching individual students in classes rather than teaching classes" (Priebe, 1971, p. 239). Education is successful only as it relates to the needs, interests, and attitudes of the learners to whom it is directed. Teachers of agriculture have been proponents of this philosophy and have structured their programs accordingly. As we move forward, it will be increasingly important to prepare our preservice teachers for thinking beyond the narrow peephole approach to accommodations, and instead to embrace an open door of inclusion for learners with special needs.Inclusive education of learners with special needs "recognizes that special learning needs can arise from social, psychological, economic, linguistic, cultural, as well as physical (or disability) factors, hence the term 'children with special needs' rather than 'children with disabilities'" (Kisanji, 1999, p. 3); they are learners first, and their special needs should not define who they are. Disability advocates argue that disability is socially constructed and that society places barriers on certain groups of people. Therefore, these advocates believe that learner-centered classrooms provide the most effective education for learners with special needs.Beck, W. M., & Whittington, M. S. (2009). Describing teaching techniques for assessing student cognitive retention. NACTA 2009 Abstracts and Awards, p. 42.

Best Bet Scroll Saw Patterns

Scroll saw patterns take the guess work out of where to saw. It allows the saw operator to focus on guiding the wood instead of the larger, overall pattern. There are many free sources and excellent books for designing your own patterns or using someone elses in your woodworking project. The how-to part of using a skill saw is a lesson all its own, but when and where to put the patterns is your first order of the day.

- A welcome sign for your home- A cut out napkin/paper towel holder- A set of carved baby blocks- Cut out initials to hang on the wallUsing the right blade for the type of wood and level of detail in the pattern is also important in getting a profession finished image and having greater control in the process. Making cuts that are straight up and down will allow any blade to move freely and again add control to the process. If you find that your cuts are jumping it may be that you are trying to push the wood around the pattern too quickly or that you are using too thin or small a blade. The best way to guide the wood through is to let the saw do the driving forward, while you simply adjust from left to right as the pattern dictates.Tips for Getting the Most from Your Scroll Saw- Carved top to a wooden jewellery boxScroll saw fans are constantly learning from one another. There are online blogs and message boards for posting questions and giving your best tips. In addition, the technology behind the saw keeps improving. For example, one manufacturer has a scroll saw where the blade instead of the table surface angles and adjusts. There are other models where foot pedals are included so that both hands are free to guide the wood. This makes curvy scrollsaw patterns much easier to follow.Looking around the room you may be surprised at how many wood objects may have been created using a scroll saw. Is there a decorative wood frame with cut out hearts surround the picture of a loved one? Or perhaps the chair you are sitting in has fine carving throughout its back and legs. A scroll saw cut pattern may even appear on the edge of your desktop or in the mouldings surrounding your entryway. There are so many applications for scroll saw patterns. Here are a few that could be great first time projects to get you comfortable with your saw and using wood working patterns in general. When using a template or different woodworking patterns, make sure that the cut is taking the pencil mark off with it. After you have traced the pattern, it should look exactly as you want the finished cut out to appear. If you align your blade to the pencil mark and it is cut away as you go, you are sure to get the look you intended. What Scroll Saw Pattern to Use

With experience and the right tools youll be creating filigree designs like the pros in no time. It just takes the right tools, a little practice, and a good scroll saw pattern.

What Is The Perfect Letterhead For Your Business

If you want to make a letterhead, think of a unique and pleasing design that would fit the nature of your business. Search on effective letterheads to serve as your guide.

You are now ready to make the panel. Use a hard wooden plank. Trace the shape of the panel, and then cut the wood. After cutting it, smooth the surface and edges. Paint the panel with varnish and let it dry. Draw the design and outline on the panel. Then paste the letters on the panel. Then, start painting the letters. Use a spray in painting. Choose a color that will not make any irregularities, like glued part, noticeable. Use push pins to hold the letters during the drying process.Sometimes you cannot prevent the letters from breaking, especially in the priming process. Glue the broken parts together. When the glue becomes dry, carefully smooth the surface. When all the letters had been cut, rounded and smoothed, put them on top of the corresponding letters on the outline. In this way, you can see the bitten off or chipped part. The only solution you can make is to re-sand it.After plotting the letters, use a scroll saw or cutter to cut them. This step is quite difficult because there is a possibility that the letters will be deformed. Make sure that the back sides of the letters are well shaped and flat. For the front, you will have to round it.The next step is to prime the letters. Since foam is very light you will have to anchor them so that the letters will not fly all over the place. To do this, put the letters on top of the cardboard. Pin the letters from the back so you can prime the whole front part. Priming involves several coating. After making the layout, start printing the letters. You can either manually draw it or make use of the computer if you wanted a fast and accurate output. Print the letters individually on a carbon paper so that you can easily trace them on the foam.Sanding of the letters is very time consuming. In this step, use a sand paper to smooth-even the letters and to make the curves for the front side.Have a copy of the outline of the design. You can print it on a plain white paper. Fill the letters with dark colors so that it will be easy for you to determine irregularity in the shape of the sanded letters. Make the letters on your outline a little larger so that you can easily see the difference.

You are now ready to make the panel. Use a hard wooden plank. Trace the shape of the panel, and then cut the wood. After cutting it, smooth the surface and edges. Paint the panel with varnish and let it dry. Draw the design and outline on the panel. Then paste the letters on the panel.

BOOK OF REVELATION UNCOVERED: Chapter 10

Revelation 10

1 I saw a powerful angel come down from heaven. This one was covered with a cloud,(THIS CAN REFER TO WHAT IS CALLED THE "GLORY OF GOD") and a rainbow (THIS IS A SYMBOL FOR PEACE AND MERCY) was over his head. His face was like the sun, his legs were like columns of fire, 2 and with his hand he held a little scroll that had been unrolled. He stood there with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. (THIS INDICATES HIS POWER OVER THE ENTIRE EARTH) 3 Then he shouted with a voice that sounded like a growling lion. Then thunderous voices (MOST PROBABLY VOICES 0F OTHER ANGELS) roared seven times. 4 After the thunderous voices stopped, I was about to write down what the voices had said but a voice from heaven shouted, "Keep it secret! Don't write down these things." 5 The angel I had seen standing on the sea and the land then held his right hand up toward heaven. 6 He made a promise in the name of God who lives forever and who created heaven, earth, the sea, and every living creature. The angel said, "You won't have to wait any longer".7 God told his secret plans (THIS IS THOUGHT TO REFER TO GOD'S USE OF SATAN TO CARRY OUT HIS WILL) to his servants the prophets, and it will all happen by the time the seventh angel sounds his trumpet."(IT IS THOUGHT THAT THIS WILL SIGNAL THE START OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE TRIBULATION PERIOD) 8 Once again the voice from heaven spoke to me. It said, "Go and take the open scroll from the hand of the angel standing on the sea and the land." 9 When I went over to ask the angel for the little scroll, the angel said, "Take the scroll and eat it up" (A BETTER ENGLISH TRANSLATION IS "DIGEST ITS CONTENTS") Your stomach will turn sour,(THIS PROBABLY REFERS TO THE SCROLL'S DISCUSSION OF GOD'S HARSH PUNISHMENTS FOR THE WORLD ) but the taste in your mouth will be as sweet as honey."(THIS CAN REFER TO THE NATURE OF GOD'S WORD) 10 I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it up. The taste was as sweet as honey, but my stomach turned sour. 11 Then He (MOST LIKELY JESUS) stated "Keep on telling what will happen to the people of many nations, races, languages, and (POLITICAL) rulers."(THIS IS THE REASON THIS BOOK HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN THE BIBLE . IT PRESENTS A DIRE WARNING OF WHAT AWAITS A WORLD HELL- BENT ON SERVING SATAN THROUGH ITS DEDICATION TO SIN.TRAGICALLY THESE WARNINGS ARE ALMOST NEVER TAUGHT IN MANY CHURCHES THAT INSTEAD CHOOSE TO IGNORE THE WRATH OF GOD RESERVED FOR THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO SIN AS THIS BOOK DESCRIBES IN EXTENSIVE DETAIL.)

Knowing The Woodworking Terminology

Woodworking is responsible for lots of the houses, furniture and other wooden materials and articles used in homes and office surroundings. Simply defined, woodworking is the art or craft (of which it seems more like magic) of creating things out of wood. Woodworking is usually done by a carpenter but nowadays anyone can do it, it can be learned to a point in a very short period of time and is a very enjoyable pass time.

Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, Well, arent you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself? But Jesus remained silent. Matthew 26:62-63 (NLT)But He was wounded and crushed for our sins. Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)And the four living beings said, Amen! And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped God and the Lamb. Revelation 5:1-14 (NLT)He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to crucify him. Matthew 27:26 (NLT)NOAHS ARK MODEL : http://www.densmodelships.zoomshare.com/album/NOAHS%20ARK%20MODEL/images/c617c1e56b6809cd3ca924501223e4d2_11550917090/:album?css=/lib/style/trebuchet.css&css=/lib/style/type_album.cssFor now, most of the world continues to ignore this. But the day is soon coming when this world will fully acknowledge the power of Gods Word. Just as the prophecies of Isaiah 53 were fulfilled to the very letter, the prophecies of Revelation 5 will also be fulfilled. And oh what a glorious day that will be!Contact Information - densmodelships@zoomshare.com

When starting out, choose a workbench that fits the place where you do your woodworking projects. A workbench with a wood top would be ideal. The size of the workbench also depends on the type of woodworking projects you intend to do in the future. If it is just for crafting toys then a small bench would be ideal.

Isaiah 53: The Lamb of God

More than 2,500 years ago, God revealed the greatest message in history to the Hebrew prophet Isaiah. In chapter 53 of the book that bears his name, Isaiah unveils Gods message of salvation to the world, and in so doing, he reveals the identity of the Messiah the Lamb of God who would lay down His life as an offering for the worlds sins.

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross. This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. Colossians 1:19-22 (NLT)As Revelation 5:13 states, every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea will attest to the glory of Christ! And they sang a new song with these words:Yet it was our weaknesses he carried. It was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for his own sins! But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed! All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left Gods paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all.DENS MODEL SHIP SHOP: We sell our model ships on gifts such as, Posters, T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs, Clocks, Steins, Coasters, Infant Apparel, Hats, Stickers, Magnets, Buttons, Stamps & more. http://www.cafepress.com/densmodelshopWounded and Crushed for Our SinsBe ComfortedA beginning woodworker should have the necessary tools and supplies even if he is just starting out in his craft. Woodworking power tools can be quite tempting but those who don't have the budget for such gadgets should stick with the hand woodworking tools.ConclusionBut the crowd shouted louder and louder for Jesus death, and their voices prevailed. So Pilate sentenced Jesus to die as they demanded. As they had requested, he released Barabbas, the man in prison for insurrection and murder. But he delivered Jesus over to them to do as they wished. Luke 23:23-25 (NLT)USS CONSTELLATION MODEL: http://www.densmodelships.zoomshare.com/album/%20U.S.S.%20CONSTELLATION/images/a02634d2f88a98c29d587cdcb70ba321_11368304500/:album?css=/lib/style/trebuchet.css&css=/lib/style/type_album.cssTwo others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him. Luke 23:32 (NLT)And Pilate said to the people, Here is your king! Away with him, they yelled. Away with him crucify him! What? Crucify your king? Pilate asked. We have no king but Caesar, the leading priests shouted back. John 19:14-15 (NLT)The art of woodworking used to be done manually by skilled carpenters and the likes. However, new technological advancements now allow for the discovery of new machines that have made woodworking less manual, more modern and more creative and efficient (plus a heck of a lot more accurate). Instead of shaping wood materials in mans creative but flaw full hands, the woodworkers now make use several machines to shape the wooden product they want to make.Because of the Lamb, a multitude throughout the ages will be counted as righteous. They will be clothed in white robes and stand before the throne of God without fault. They will experience fellowship with God, and spend eternity in His peace. Because of the fulfilled prophecy of Isaiah 53, a human race which once lived in darkness can now move forward with hope:Although many claim this passage is yet to be fulfilled prophecy, history records that every iota of Isaiah 53 was fulfilled in the life of one man, a Jewish carpenter from Nazareth. The Gospels testify to the life of Jesus Christ, providing the world with ample evidence of His identity as the Lamb of God. For anyone who is skeptical or hasnt had the good fortune to examine the historical record, Isaiah 53 contains multiple prophecies about the life and times of the Messiah each one fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ. Here are just a few of those prophecies, followed by a corresponding verse (or verses) from the New Testament which confirms fulfillment in the life of Jesus:Revelation Chapter 5 describes an actual event that will take place in heaven following the rapture, and just prior to the Tribulation period which begins with the breaking of the first seal. Those who have loved Christ throughout the ages up until the time of the rapture will be present for this awesome event, and they will participate in singing the praises of the Lamb on the day He takes possession of the scroll. For in that day, the evils of this world will pass away, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father!I looked and I saw a Lamb that had been killed but was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God that are sent out into every part of the earth. He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. And as he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense the prayers of Gods people! He was whipped, and we were healed! Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)FREE ROPEWALK PLAN: http://www.densmodelships.zoomshare.com/2.htmlThe Lamb is worthy the Lamb who was killed. He is worthy to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.Bore the Sins of the MankindHe was despised and rejected a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by. He was despised, and we did not care. Isaiah 53:3 (NLT)The Coming Glory of ChristThen I wept because no one could be found who was worthy to open the scroll and read it. But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to Davids throne, has conquered. He is worthy to open the scroll and break its seven seals.NOAHS ARK DIORAMA: http://www.densmodelships.zoomshare.com/1.shtml/%20%22%20NOAHS%20ARK%20DIORAMA%20%22Revelation 5Then they nailed him to the cross. Mark 15:24 (NLT)Both aspiring and expert woodworkers should be aware of the important terminologies used in woodworking. One often-used term is milling, which is the use of a mill for grinding a board. Woodworkers should know that board-feet isn't a kind of furniture but it is a standard measurement when selling rough lumber in the United States. On the other hand, yield doesn't refer to harvest of agricultural products but it is the term given to denote the efficiency of milling unprocessed lumber. Waste is a common result when milling rough wood so when you are said to have accomplished a hundred percent yield, it means you have milled the rough lumber without producing any waste at all.ABOUT THE SHIPS: All the ships are Plank on Frame construction (hollow hulls) http://www.densmodelships.zoomshare.com/album/New%20British%20Ship%20in%20Working%20Progress/images/a1e8f0c07be63607f78f07c4bee79340_11364258050/:album?css=/lib/style/trebuchet.css&css=/lib/style/type_album.css#. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have a multitude of children, many heirs. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lords plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of what he has experienced, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of one who is mighty and great, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among those who were sinners. He bore the sins of many and interceded for sinners. Isaiah 53:1-12 (NLT)Who has believed our message? To whom will the Lord reveal his saving power? My servant grew up in the Lords presence like a tender green shoot, sprouting from a root in dry and sterile ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. He was despised and rejected a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. The opening of the scroll indicates the beginning of Jesus taking possession of the earth in preparation for His Millennial Kingdom.WOOD WORK TECHNIQUES: As far as the wood work goes, I first take the raw wood ( board ) to the table saw to cut everything that I need. Then from there the rest of the pieces are cut with the scroll saw and a executive knife. No dowels are used on these model, the mast are cut square then I rasp the corners and sand until round. For all the round spindle wood work I use a drill as my lathe, then I use my files to shape and sand the parts that I need. No store bought pieces or parts, or factory cut wood, all 100% handcrafted. The raw materials that I use are, wood, Sculpey, wire, and thread. LATHE WORK: I don't have a lathe, and I don't use dowels, the drill is my lathe for the small parts. For the masts I take the board and cut it on the table saw into squares 1/4" x 1/4" then I rasp the corners and hand sand round. And the round spindles on the deck, I put the 1/8" round stock into my drill chuck, then I cut and sand with the files to get the shape that I want.MODEL SHIP STORE: This store is where these models can be purchased or ordered. http://nauticalgifts.redtienda.netAll Will Acknowledge His GloryThere are several terms used in woodworking which every woodworker should know. If you aren't aware of them then you must do some research or talk to expert woodworkers as you may learn a lot from them.He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. From prison and trial they led him away to his death. But who among the people realized that he was dying for their sins that he was suffering their punishment? He had done no wrong, and he never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich mans grave. You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were killed, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. And you have caused them to become Gods kingdom and his priests. And they will reign on the earth. In Revelation 5:4, John weeps because no one can be found who is worthy to open the scroll. If the scroll cannot be opened, then there is no hope for this fallen world. Yet John is soon comforted by one of the twenty-four elders who points out that the Lion of Judah, the heir to Davids throne, is worthy to open the scroll. In verse six, we learn He is also a Lamb that had been killed the same Lamb of God from Isaiah 53.Here is some photos of some of my finished models that are for sale. The modernization of woodworking has lifted the woodworking art to a new level. Modern woodworking tools and equipment led to the mushrooming of do it yourself shops that offer wooden materials, project designs for specific woodwork and the corresponding tools and equipment that can be used by the aspiring woodworker.Buried in a Rich Mans GraveThe Lambs IdentityFrom prison and trial they led him away to his death. But who among the people realized that he was dying for their sins that he was suffering their punishment? Isaiah 53:8 (NLT)Despised and RejectedPaul comforts us by reminding us of this coming day in his letter to the Philippians:But it was the Lords good plan to crush him and fill him with grief. Isaiah 53:10-12 (NLT)Hundreds of years before Jesus came into this world in human form, the prophet Isaiah revealed a plan by God to make one mans life an offering for sin. The prophecies of Isaiah 53 were fulfilled in the life, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.Silent Before His AccusersFor all have sinned; all fall short of Gods glorious standard. Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy Gods anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times. And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus. Romans 3:23-26 (NLT)I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33 (NLT)Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT)Led from Prison and Trial to DeathThese verses continue to be fulfilled in our day and in the times to come. The heirs of Jesus Christ a multitude too numerous to count are still being gained to this day, with new names being added to His family on a daily basis. And although Christians honor Jesus as one who is mighty and great, the world continues to despise and reject Him. Nevertheless, the day will soon come when this world will honor Jesus Christ in all His glory. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Isaiah 53:7 (NLT)As those who love Christ, we can also take comfort in the knowledge that very soon every living creature will acknowledge His glory. After carrying the burden of our sins, being mocked and despised and ridiculed and hated Jesus Christ will get His just due. He will receive everlasting honor and glory and power, and He will be acknowledged by everyone. We can be comforted because the Lamb is worthy, for He was killed, and His blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. The sins of humanity will soon give way to Christs eternal reign and the words of the prophets will soon be fulfilled. The last verses of Isaiah 53 continue to describe the life of Jesus Christ:

For in that day, the evils of this world will pass away, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father!
